Compiler/LM2901-Q1: LM2901-Q1 porality

Part Number: LM2901-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2901

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

Hi I'm chatbot

I want ask about LM2901-Q1.

Datasheet of LM2901-Q1 tells "Positive input is higer than negative input then LM2901-Q1 sink current"

On the contrary, datasheet of LM2901 tells "Negative input is higer than positive input then LM2901-Q1 sink current"

Doer it means there is differnce between Q1 devices and ordinary one

Thanks in advance and best regards

  • Hello Chatbot,

    That section of the datasheet is incorrect. This error was introduced during an update. We are in the process of correcting the datasheets.

    The correct text should read:

    The output consists of an open drain NPN (pull-down or low side) transistor. The output NPN will sink current
    when the negative input voltage is higher than the positive input voltage and the offset voltage. The VOL is
    resistive and will scale with the output current.

    There is NO difference in operation between the LM2901 and LM2901-Q1.

  • Hello, Paul-san

    Thanks, I have got it.

    Best regards
