Hi Mohammad.
XTR117 is 4-20mA 2-wire transmitter. If you are interested 3-wire transmitters, please see the attached file.

Thank you so much for the feedback,
If we couple the 16bit DAC 5VDC output to an input of this circuit it's not working how to couple this?
can I get some more detailed information schematics like in one loop how to configure the selection type jumper for 4 wire and 2 wire its just 24VDC coupling to the loop with a loop safety system?
Hi Mohammad,
Is it effective for you to refer the following technical articles in regard to 2-wired application with the unipolar output 16bit DAC?
Thank you and Best regards,
Iwata Etsuji
Hi Mohammad,
can you show your schematic using the XTR117?
Have you thought about using the XTR111?

Thank you so much Kai,
I am planning to implement the schematics but unable to design it using XTR117, If you have some reference schematics which show 4-20mA output with 2wire or 4-wire selection type in one schematics.
DAC output is 0-5vdc that coupled to XTR117 or XTR111 as 0-5vdc input and output with respect to this 4-20mA with 2-wire or 4-wire configuration.

Hi Wasim,
Here is the 4-20mA 3-wire Transmitter in XTR111 simulation.
Best,
Raymond
Dear Raymond,
My question is at output Iout + and Iout- pin We want 20-30VDC as well as 4-20mA signal and without 24VDC 4-20mA signal, this 20-30VDC selection schematics.
How to configure this using any XTR
Regards
Wasim.
Hi Mohammad,
it's very hard for me to understand your question. Can you please try again? :-)
Kai
Hi Mohammad,
This is XTR111 (3-wire transmitter) and RCV420 interface using +/-12V. With XTR117 or 2-wire transmitter, your 16bit DAC needs to have differential input to the XTR117. If 16bit DAC is single ended output, then you need to convert the input from single-ended to differential output. Rload is RCV420 in this case and Vloop is 24Vdc or 20-38Vdc, if the supply varies.
In addition, 4-20mA output is a constant current source. You convert I-to V conversion by driving the current into a resistor.
If you need further assistant, please let us know.
Best,
Raymond
Dear Raymond,
Thanks for replaying my question is the Vload in the above schematic need 20 to 38VDC as input like in XTR117 loop output shown selection of power in the loop.
How to configure that.
or coupling of input to XTR117 to DAC 16bit 0-5VDC that will be helpful to me.
Regards
Wasim
