OPA2810: Input voltage range

Part Number: OPA2810

We are planning on using OPA2810 in our Analog IO card. I need some clarifications.

Our requirement is +/-10V single ended. We will be using  +/-12V as Vs+ and Vs- supply voltages.

I am a little bit concerned because allowable input differential voltage is +/-7V in datasheet but the most positive input voltage is given as Vs+ + 0.3 and most negative is given as Vs- - 0.3.

  1. Is the +/-7V limit only for differential input?
  2. If we are using +/-12V supply can we go upto +/-11V input?

Could you please answer the above questions and confirm that we can use this part for our requirement?

Thanks

  • Hello,

Yes this +/- 7V input is only differential inputs. Note that under normal operation, the amplifier will keep the inverting and non-inverting pins as close as possible. So unless you are using the amplifier in a strange manner, or purposefully driving each input this shouldn't be a major concern.
