INA223: Read multiple registers in one read cycle

HI Team,

Can you please help with the below query from our customer:

In I2C for memory devices, if from the master, ack and clock continue after reading one location of memory, the data of next memory location is provided by the memory device.

And so on, till the whole memory page is read.

In case of INA228, it seems reading multiple registers sequentially is not possible.

A fresh command has to be issued for each register.

Pl check if it is possible to read multiple registers in one read cycle

The INA223 has only a single register.

The INA228-Q1 does not update the register pointer after a read in order to allow repeated reads from the same register without a write.

Hello Mayank,

Thank you for using the TI forum. Clemens is correct, so if you want to read a different register then the address that was read from last, you'll need to write to the register address pointer first.
