LM111QML: LM111 MDA - Die Design origin

Part Number: LM111QML
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM111

Hello ,  is your  LM111 MDA die - the NSC original design.

if yes,  what is the die size ? Die step ?

thanks,

  • Hello Sean,

I am looking into this...it may take a while.

This device was obsoleted many, many years ago, well before the TI acquisition. Locating documentation is taking a while.

Most likely it is an original National Semiconductor device. If you have access to a microscope, you should be able to see the National logos on the die if it is.

Do you want to order more? Or are you looking for a replacement? If you have devices, any info off the packaging would be helpful to us (lot#'s, date codes, etc).

The closest living relative is the LM111 MD8, which conforms to MIL-STD-883 (and is an National device):

     https://www.ti.com/product/LM111QML

The die layout is on the Die datasheet:

     Die D/S LM111 MD8 Voltage Comparator

Since I have not found the die ID's for the MDA to compare, I cannot say if they are identical layouts yet.
