Can CDCLVD2108 input be driven with a differential CMOS output?

I have a clock signal from a CMOS flip-flop with differential outputs (Q and !Q) I would like to connect these directly to both inputs of the clock buffer.The supply voltage of the flip-flop and the clock buffer is the same at 2.5V.

The app note only shows a single output to input, with the other input pin connected to a fixed DC voltage level, so I would like to be sure. Thanks.

Hi Phung,

The differential input voltage peak-to-peak for the device is 1.6V. Hence a 2.5V differential CMOS signal cannot be input directly to the device. You could try to scale the output voltage down using a resistor divider, AC couple and DC bias the inputs to Vac_ref before feeding them into CDCUN1208.
