LMK5C33216: Start up clocks

Part Number: LMK5C33216

Hello,

There are two ROM startup conditions that are available.

However, these both assume a 10 MHz at IN1 and XO= 38.88 MHz.  What are the outputs doing if IN1 is unconnected and XO input is 100 MHz?  What output frequencies are generated?

Also, I noticed that in TICS Pro 1.7.4.0 the APLL settings/vco frequencies seem to not load correctly from a .tcs file created in version 1.7.3.0.  Where can I get a copy of the version 1.7.3.0 software.

Thanks,

Jon

  • Hello Jon,

For output clocks to work at start-up, the APLLs must lock.  No ROM is set for 100 MHz XO.  Accordingly it is not possible to get start-up clocks using 100 MHz XO without first programming the EEPROM of the LMK5C33216 to configure for 100 MHz XO input.

Let me check on your software question.  Is it possible to share your TCS file?
