Hi team,

Equation of the Tadc is different between TPL5110 and TPL5110-Q1.

Which is the correct equation?

I would like to select time interval = 2.6s.

Tadc from equation (3) in TPL5110 gives

Tadc=2

While equation (4) in TPL5110-Q1 gives

Tadc = 5

If my understanding is correct, this device can not select time interval between 2s and 3s?

It seems like Equation (4) in TPL5110-Q1 datasheet need to change Rd to Rext?

Hi Tsuji-san,

Equation 3 in TPL5110 datasheet is correct.

In TPL5110-Q1 datasheet equation 4, you are right, Rd should be replaced with Rext. Equation 5 is not needed anymore.

To calculate Rext, use equation 1 and table 1.

Hi Noel-san,

Tadc is the timing interval selected from Rext value and in my case even if I select Rext based on time interval = 2.6s,

the device only set the interval to 2s.

Is my understanding correct?

Hi Tsuji-san,

Now I understand your question. Yes, even if we set Rext to 2.6s, the actual time interval is still 2s because the device supports only discrete time interval. So it is either 2s or 3s but not something in between.
