Could you help me check what is the main difference between LM555 and NE555?
At the same time, compared with our two devices, which one do we mainly recommend customers to use? These two devices currently are both in my customer's AVL. The customer wants to optimize them and use one device in the future.

Hello Andy,
The LM555 was designed by National Semiconductor. The LM555 is a direct replacement for the NE555. Some specifications for the NE555 such as output pulse rise and fall time provide a max specification as opposed to the LM555 that only provides a typical number. The trigger current has the same typical value but slightly higher max for the NE555.
