LMK00301: support PCIE GEN3.0 reference clock?

Hi there,

We have a CPU output PCIe GEN 3.0 ref clock 100MHZ, it needs to be buffered two outputs.

we used dedicated clock buffer like ICS9DB102 before, for GEN2.0

Now we hope to know how to determine if LMK00301 can support PCIE GEN3.0 clock buffer? If it can, hope you could help explain from specific parameters. Thanks!

Hi There,

LMK00301 supports PCIe Gen3.0. You can refer to page 12 on datasheet for some of the key specification for PCIE. One of the key specification is jitter which is specified for each Gen.

I noticed that TI have LMK00301/4/6/8, are their parameters all the same except of different channel numbers ?

A brief look at datasheets, jitteradd_PCIe, seems only 00301 support PCIe4.0~6.0.

Hi BX27,

Remaining datasheets will be updated with newer generation specification. They have similar parameter except the channel count and digital IO controls.
