LMX2595:  LMX2595:LMX2595 frequency output accuracy and output power problems

Part Number: LMX2595

The horizontal coordinate of Figure 1 above represents the design frequency, and the vertical coordinate represents the actual frequency output, which is 0.1MHz according to the step from 2011MHz to 2013MHz. The test shows that the actual output is 3MHz step output, but there is no linear output

This is why

I have tested the output power and found that the output power is not regular. Is there any way to control it

  • Hello,

We are out of office for a US holiday. Please expect a response by Monday.

    Thanks,

    Kadeem

  • Hi Yiquan,

I don't quite understand your question, if you are saying you did not get the desired frequency, make sure after changing the frequency setting. toggle (uncheck and then check) the FCAL_EN bit to initiate a VCO calibration.

Your configuration on VCO Assist block is also not correct.

Output power is not constant over frequency, this is already shown in the datasheet. You need to add some circuitries in your system to make the output power flat.

  • This is the data I obtained from the spectrum analyzer. My setting is 2000MHz, but the output frequency band reaches 3MHz. Is there any way to improve accuracy or reduce frequency band width? Attached is my setting

  • Hi Yiquan,

From spectrum analyzer, looks like you have it locked to 2GHz, what is the problem here?

What does "output frequency band reaches 3MHz" mean?
