Tool/software:

I am using LMX2595 with 100 MHz clock (SiT5157) reference clock (±1ppm) and SN65LVDS9638D to convert in differential output. Output of SiT5157 is stable but I have observed drift in the output frequency continuously . Same drifting is observed with the evaluation board of LMX2595 which is having VC708 (>±20ppm) reference clock. Please suggest the possible reason for drifting.

Are you saying you observe drift on the SiT5157 output which gets use as the ref cln to LMX2595?

Hi Manoj,

The PLL will drift if it is unlock or if the reference clock is drifting.

Can you confirm it is locked?

Hi Manoj,

Can you confirm LD signal is still high? As Noel mentioned, if the input is drifting the LMX output will also drift and the device will most likely be unlocked.
Can you confirm the reference call is stable or does the ref clk also drift ?
