Tool/software:
Have a LMK1D1208IEVM eval board connected to TICS PRO SW. Per the user manual, have selected the 1208 device, selected the USB2ANY, scanned the bus and found the device. I can change the I2C address jumpers and a rescan finds the new address. When enabling outputs from the main tab gui, status message says writes are successful. If VCC is removed, the writes will NACK as expected. Nevertheless, all outputs seem disabled even after enabling them in the gui. The outputs at the eval board termination resistor (before the AC coupling to the SMA connector), have both the P and N at zero volts. I would expect one high, one low or perhaps both at the common mode voltage. VCC has been tried at 3.3 and 2.5V. The input is a 100uS pulse with a 1 second period. Is there some input signal detection circuit that also enables the outputs?
From the raw register tab, the R0 and R2 values follow the settings from the main tab, but reading any register will reflect the last write value. It's unclear if any I2C writes are truly making it to the 1208 device.
Suggestions?
Hi Gary,
It sounds like you are interfacing with the device appropriately. I took an LMK1D1208EVM into lab and found that I could only see a logic low on the output when no input was provided or when the incorrect input was selected. Please refer to Table 9-3 of the datasheet, attached below.
Thanks,
Michael
