LMK04616: Phase Noise data

Part Number: LMK04616
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMK04610, LMK04826, CDCE72010, , CDCI6214

Does TI have a clock solution that provides multiple frequency-phase-synchronized differential clocks; it also supports closed loop feedback from the output to the input, eliminating the phase shift caused by the external clock transmission path?

  • Dear User,

    thank you for your interest in our clock solutions. We have multiple product that can do what you are looking for. As the the tile indicate LMK04610/16 is one of them. Also look at LMK04826/8 family. We call the feature you describe in your question "zero delay mode. These product can be configured as single loop, dual loop, zero delay mode and distribution mode. They have sync feature so many of them can be synchronized and they can also support JESD204B standard with a sysref feature.

    I hope this helps,

    Regards, Simon.
  • Hello, Simon.
    I know that the LMK0461X family can be configured in different modes and can synchronize the output of each channel; but I'm looking for a solution that supports output feedback back to the PLL's PDF port, just like the CDCE72010 does. Can automatically eliminate phase/frequency errors introduced by external clock traces;
    The reason I do not use the CDCE72010 is that there is a phase error between the output channels. It is not synchronous.
  • Dear User,
    LMK04616 cannot support external feedback mode, but LMK0482x devices supports what you are trying to implement.
    We also have CDCI6214 device, which supports external feedback but has less outputs.
    Best regards
