Hi Team
Would you advise LMC555's PDIP PKG (LMC555CN/NOPB) has flow soldering
availability?
If it is OK to mount by flow soldering, Could you share the allowable thermal profile for this device?
Thanks
Best regards,
Shidara

Hi Shidara,
With the PDIP PKGs, flow (wave) soldering is ok assuming the device is mounted on the top side of the board, away from the solder wave. If the device is mounted on the underside of the PCB (body in direct contact with the solder wave) there is a risk of internal delamination due to moisture absorption. This application report gives the recommended wave soldering profile. Recommended Soldering Profiles.pdf
