DLPC3478: DLPC3478 Unable to initialize normally

Hello User,

Is this design able  to connect to the LC-GUI that is used for the EVM? How are you updating the FW for you design? What GUI and FW version are you using?

Have you tried updating the FW while your design is connected to power but not projecting any content?

Please allow us some time to look at the schematic.

This design can not able to connect to the LC-GUI because not add cypress module,  FW version is 0.05 and  is able to work on the EVM.

Is it possible to update your software to the newest version available from TI.com with the Pico firmware selector?

Do you also have an MSP430 on your board? I just want to confirm since it is not on the schematic. 

Can you check the DMD offset, bias, and reset voltages? Can you tell me the status of HOST_IRQ, RESETZ, and PROJ_ON when the design is connected to power and when the device is attempting to display? Are all LEDs physically connected properly to your design?

The software is not possible to update because this design of hardware is not support.

on this board have MSP430, using FPGA. 

When PROJ_ON is pulled high, pin 2 becomes high， HOST_IRQ remains high. DMD_DEN_ARSTZ remains low.

Please review  the previous dialogue with  John McKnight ， I have described the problem  that  DLPC3478 cannot be initialized normally。

The firmware version is 0.05，The firmware version has been verified on the EVM and can be used;

I would like to know the possible reason why this signal DMA_DEN_ARSTZ is always low.

This document covers the power-up sequence of the controller here. Please look at section Pg. 58 section 9.3. 

When RESETZ is asserted (low) then these signals will also be low. We just want to confirm the status of HOST_IRQ, RESETZ, and PROJ_ON.

I do want to follow up on Mayank had asked. Can you confirm which DMD you are using in design?

What EVM are you using as a comparison and can you link me to it?

We may need to reach out to get you FW image privately.
