I still have some questions. It seems logical to me that when I use the 2-supply mode, the power consumption of, for example, VDDA2P5 increases due to the lack of VDDA1P8?

So actually no, the links mentioned in your reply don't answer my quastion.
Many links point to RGMII -> Copper instead of SGMII. Or is there no difference in consumption using a totaly different interface...?
