DP83822IF: RJ45 cannot establish a link with PHY

Part Number: DP83822IF

Hi team,

One of our customer's issues, I'm forwarding it below, could you please provide some troubleshooting suggestions

In terms of hardware, the RGMII interface of ZYNQ is used to connect with DP83822IFRHBR. In board debugging, ZYNQ can communicate with DP83822, and the register status can also be read:

IEEE reg[0] = 3100
IEEE reg[0] = 3100
IEEE reg[1] = 7849
IEEE reg[2] = 2000
IEEE reg[3] = A240
IEEE reg[4] = DE1
IEEE reg[5] = 0
IEEE reg[6] = 4
IEEE reg[7] = 2001
IEEE reg[8] = 0
IEEE reg[9] = 0
IEEE reg[10] = 100
reg[F] = 0
reg[10] = 2
reg[11] = 108
reg[12] = 0
reg[13] = 800
reg[14] = 0
reg[15] = 0
reg[16] = 100
reg[17] = 12C1
reg[18] = 400
reg[19] = A01F
reg[1A] = 0
reg[1B] = 7D
reg[1C] = 5EE
reg[1D] = 0
reg[1E] = 102
reg[1F] = 0

The problem is that RJ45 cannot establish a link with PHY.

Best Regards,

Amy Luo

  • Hi Amy,

    May I ask couple question for further debug:

    • I am not sure if my understand is correct, please correct me if I am wrong.
      • Customer is facing an issue on the link up on the RJ45 side. RGMII works fine in customer's board
    • If my understand is correct, what is the link partner that customer is using to link up the DP83822?
    • If possible, could you also draw a block diagram on what is customer's setup?

    Thank you,
