Hello

I am not sure if I have chosen the right forum.  Thanks if someone suggests me a more suitable one.

IC's: LMH0366 and LMH0395

What is the behavior of the ICs at temperatures of a few degrees below -40°C?

  1. Are all functions of the IC's switched on as soon as the supply voltage is applied?
  2. Do they consume power? Or is the power consumption reduced by how much?
  3. Is the function of the ICs limited by which parameters?
  4. I assume that the ICs will not be destroyed when the supply voltage is applied and that they will not be switched off below -40°C, right?

    Hi Iris,

    LMH0366 and LMH0395 have not been characterized below -40C.  This means that they are not guaranteed to operate beyond -40C and may not meet datasheet specifications in this temperature range.  With this said, I've answered your questions to the best of my knowledge.

    1. Are all functions of the IC's switched on as soon as the supply voltage is applied?
      1. I would not expect operating at near -40C to inhibit the device from powering on once supply voltage is applied.
    2. Do they consume power? Or is the power consumption reduced by how much?
      1. I have generally observed power consumption increase with an increase in temperature.  For these devices, I would expect that they consume less power at -40C than 25C.
    3. Is the function of the ICs limited by which parameters?
      1. Below -40C, the IC is not guaranteed to meet datasheet specifications.  With that said, I don't expect it to immediately stop functioning at -41C.
    4. I assume that the ICs will not be destroyed when the supply voltage is applied and that they will not be switched off below -40°C, right?
      1. I would not expect the ICs to be immediately destroyed operating slightly below -40C.
