DS92LX1622: MIPI Serializer FPD-3 to ChannelLink III Deserializer compatibility

Hello,

I've an application currently using the DS92LX1621/22 SER-DES couple to connect a LVCMOS camera to an FPGA.

The LVCMOS camera has been discontinued so I've to change it granting as much retrocompatibility as possible.

I red on this forum that FPD3 should be compatibile with ChannelLink III (LINK) and I'm wondering if there is a serializer that can do the trick of interfacing a MIPI camera to a LVCMOS deserializer over ChannelLink III.

So, is there any serializer that can send MIPI data to a DS92LX1622 deserializer?

Changing the deserializer to another p/n is an option, provided the new one can receive from a DS92LX1621.

    We do not have a MIPI Serializer which can be paired with the DS92LX1622 deserializer.

    Since we have an FPGA at the DES interface, we can manage a lot of options: the real constraint is being able to be paired with the DS92LX1621. The best one would be to use one compatible with the actual, so LVCMOS.

    Hello Daniele,

    you can use the following SER with the DS92LX1622 deserializer. However, all of these devices are older than the DS92LX1621.

    DS92LX2121, DS92LV2411, DS92LV2421 ...etc

    Same thing, there are other Deserializers, but these are older than the DS92LX1622.

    DS92LX2122, DS92LV2412, DS92LV2422 ...etc

    Hence, I would recommend you, if possible, to redesign your both sides and use a pair of our latest devices, for example

    MIPI CSI-2 ==> DS90UB935 and DS90UB936

    LVCMOS ==> DS90UB933 and DS90UB934

    Hello,

    As said, We would like to keep the current interface at the DES, so I could redesign with a DS90UB934. If so, since LVCMOS cameras aren't in the pool of possible new devices for our integration, can I pair a DS90UB934 DES with a DS90UB935 SER?

    Also, a DS90UB934 DES is compatible with the older DS92LX1622?

    unfortunately, you can't pair the Channel Link devices (such as DS92LX1622) with FPD-Link devices (such as DS90UB934, DS90UB935)
