XIO2001: Inquiry on the differences between XIO2001ZWS and XIO2001ZGU

Hi, TI experts

I have an inquiry about the differences between XIO2001ZWS and XIO2001ZGU.

The customer is using XIO2001ZWS as XIO2001ZGU has been discontinued.

However, in the field, there was no problem with products to which XIO2001ZGU (old version) was applied, but the following symptoms appeared intermittently in products to which XIO2001ZWS was applied.

- Symptom: The chip is not recognized and must be reset to resume normal operation.

Q1) Is there a solution to why the above symptoms occur?

Q2) I wonder if it is due to the difference between XIO2001ZWS and XIO2001ZGU. Could you please explain if there are any differences?

Hi Grady,

There should not be a difference. The die inside the package is the same, the only thing that has changed is the package.

Here is a similar E2E post that confirms the functionality should be the same.

How many units and systems have been tested? I will look to see if there are similar issues reported.
