Hi team,
I have a question.
If our module uses 953 serdes, it is used in four AVM camera modules. The four camera modules need to be synchronized. In addition to the frame sync pin of the sensor being connected to the 953 GPIO, does the sensor clock part also need to be synchronously output to the sensor by 953? You can't use the oscillator to the sensor, Am I right?
BR,
Jimmy
Hi Jimmy,
We have seen customers using the CLK_OUT signal from the 953 as the oscillator for the camera sensor. It is not a requirement for the FrameSync signal from the serializer itself. The FrameSync signal is used to account for different oscillators on each sensor. I recommend confirming with the image sensor datasheet if this is a requirement for the sensor.
