SN65LVDS93A-Q1: Inquiries regarding the use of SN65LVDS93A-Q1, SN65LVDS93B-Q1

Part Number: SN65LVDS93A-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90CF383B, , SN65LVDS93B-Q1

Hi, TI expert

The customer was using DS90CF383MTD, but was looking for a replacement due to discontinuation.

So, DS90CF383B was recommended, but the operating temperature was -10 to 70 degrees, which did not meet the spec. (The specification of the customer’s product is -40 to 85 degrees.)

Accordingly, the two items that the customer directly searched for were SN65LVDS93AIDGGRQ1 and SN65LVDS93BIDGGRQ1. (Actually used P-CLK is 50~70MHz.)

The customer purchased samples of SN65LVDS93AIDGGRQ1 and SN65LVDS93BIDGGRQ1 and conducted a test.

However, upon review, a malfunction was confirmed as described in the attached review.

Q1) Can you provide technical help to solve the problem? (See attached file below)

Q2) Will there be any problem if I use SN65LVDS93A-Q1 or SN65LVDS93B-Q1 as a replacement for DS90CF383MTD?

Please check. Thank you.

  • Hi Grady,

    Who is the customer?

Q2) Will there be any problem if I use SN65LVDS93A-Q1 or SN65LVDS93B-Q1 as a replacement for DS90CF383MTD?

These devices are both suitable replacements for the DS90CF383MTD based on the outlined requirements of the customer's system.

Q1) Can you provide technical help to solve the problem?

Which device is the customer witnessing the abnormal behavior on? The SN65LVDS93A-Q1 or SN65LVDS93B-Q1? In either instance, this seems to be related to how the incoming data bits are being mapped. What color format is the customer using (i.e. 888, 666, 656)?

    Best,

    Nikolas
