This device is designed for loads between 54 Ω and 100 Ω. This allows for signal lines with a characteristic differential impedance of 100 Ω (typically used for unidirectional RS-422 with one termination resistor) or 120 Ω (typically used for half-duplex RS-485 with two termination resistors).
Hello
Does this device work for 120-ohm characteristic impedance while using RS422 interface?
I see I am a little late to this post, but Clemens is spot on here. Because this device is compliant with both RS-485 (54Ohms) and RS-422 (100Ohms) standards, it can support both characteristic impedances. Just make sure to add termination resistors correctly.
