DP83826E: Rev0 and Rev1 recognition from IC marking

Part Number: DP83826E

Tool/software:

Hi,

How can I find out which revision of the IC is assembled on my board from its marking?

I appreciate your quick reply.

  • Hi Armin,

I will need to cross reference the lot code on top marking with an internal tool to confirm the IC revision.

If it is already assembled and registers are accessible, this can also be confirmed by reading register 0x3[3:0].

Generally, I believe orders placed 2023 and later should be revision 1 for DP83826.

    Thank you,

    Evan

  • Hi Evan,

    Thank you for your reply.

Since we encountered some issues with our new PCB version that resembled the problems we had with Rev0, I wasn't sure if our component supplier might have sent parts from an old batch. I was wondering if there would be any indication in the IC markings to help identify this.

However, the issue is now resolved, and it turned out it was not related to the revision after all.

    Best Regards

    Armin
