ISO5852S: Desat level shift

Part Number: ISO5852S

Hello.

I finally assembled the stand on ISO5852. I conduct experiments to protect IGBT against short circuits. On the 1st chart - a soft short circuit, on the 2nd graph - a hard short circuit. Yellow - Uge (+15V on,-15V -off), green-collector current(0.2mV/A), and blue - voltage on the 2 legs of the chip (Desat pin). In the first case, the protection operates as expected - when the voltage reaches 9V, the transistor turns off. In the second experiment, it turns off when the voltage at pin + 25V. Why does not it turn of transistor at 9V ???

  • Hi Vladimir,

In order for us to better understand your system, could you please share the schematic of your testing circuits and brief description of the testing process? What are the signals of UCE, IC, and IC_rog? Thanks.

    With Regards,

    Xiong
