TXS0102: vs SN74CB3Q3305 usage

Part Number: TXS0102
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74CB3Q3305

Hi,

There is another part my colleague showed me (SN74CB3Q3305) and asking me if it can be used instead of TX0102 part for gating I2C or UART signal. These signals are being cabled to a daughter board for initiating communication and detecting the cable. I want to gate these signals (!2C or UART) until the daughter board is plugged in. Then the System controller (MCU) will release these signals to initiate communication so main purpose to this component is to gate them until MCU releases them. Should i go ahead and use SN74CB3Q3305 part or keep the other part TXS0102. FYI, it looks like the spec of SN74CB3Q3305 is better than TXS0102. Please let me know if there is any thing that can tell me not to use SN74CB3Q3305 part.

Regards

Owais
