On my board I have two of these octal level translators and using LabView DAQ unit we provide digital bit streams and some control lines that are +5V  and translate them too +3.3V using these devices. With the Labview powered and connected and my board not powered I am seeing these devices taking the +5V lines from DAQ unit and powering the board with their internal circuitry. I am tying the DIR pin directly to +5V and the /OE pin is tied to GND. The datasheet talks about power sequence, I am happy to send you my schematic sheet that covers these two devices. Is there another device we can use? The main issue is that with DAQ powered and we turn the power on to the board, the FPGA doesn't program and system doesn't work. We are not hurting anything other than system just not running. So, any ideas you might have is appreciated. We don't think our customer will see this as an issue, but want to be ready to offer a solution if it is an issue and also for future reference.

Thanks,

Mike
