SN74VMEH22501A: simultaneous switching noise on backplane

Part Number: SN74VMEH22501A

Hello we have a backplane based system with two CPUs and 6 I/O slots

Each CPU has a SN74VMEH22501A buffer and has its own bus. Lets call the two CPU A and CPU B, so we have bus A and bus B on the backplane

Each of the 6 IO board has two set of SN74VMEH22501A, to manage independently buses A and B

The bus is quite simple: muxed address and data + controls

the whole system is under the same ground domain; so the buses A and B are not galvanically isolated.

What we see is that, when we estabilish traffic on bus A, i see noise on bus B, and this noise triggres the input of the SN74VMEH22501A buffer

it seems like we are having some simultaneous switching noise (SSN) on the backplane.

buses A and B are terminated with near and fare end termination, with device 4816P-T03-331/471L

do you have some suggestion on how i can remove or reduce SSN from the backplane?

Many thanks

Andrea
