Hi,
We are looking for Bi directional Voltage Translator without Direction Control. We found TXB0104 as the option.
1. Other than TXB0104/TXS0104 do you have any other better suggestions?
2. We did not find the Drive strength (Output Drive current/Source Current and Sink Current) details in the datasheet of TXB0104. Please inform.

Hello Vijetha,
Here is an FAQ that discusses the different Auto bidirectional translators and should answer your question: [FAQ] What is the difference between TXS TXB and LSF devices? - Logic forum - Logic - TI E2E support...
The TXB family has the highest drive strength when compared to the other auto bidirectional translators. However, these devices have little to no drive. Is each line bidirectional? Because a device like the SN74AXC4T245 will have much better drive strength.
Thanks!

Automatic direction sensing requires that other devices be able to override the voltage at the I/O pins. Therefore, all translators with automatic direction sensing must have a very weak drive strength.
The TXB's guaranteed drive strength is implied by the test conditions for VOL/VOH; it's 20 µA.
My requirement is
I have 4 nos of GPIOs between 2 Processors which run at different Voltages. The direction (Input/Output) of each GPIO is different at different instances. The translators of SN74 series may have direction controls for minimum 2 channels. But based on my requirement I may need direction control for each channel or auto direction control.
I see very less drive strength of 20uA as mentioned by you. This may not be sufficient for our GPIOs. What is the better solution you have? a 4 bit Translator with Direction control for each channel or Translator with Auto Direction control having good drive strength or any other option?

The SN74AVC4T774 has individual direction controls for each of the four channels.
