Hello TI-Support Team,
if I start a debug session for one of the examples on CCS, please also to refer to the screenshot, there is a Cortex M3 Core shown and it could be connected...
It is quite confused since on AM243x there should only be R5FSS0 Core 0/1, R5FSS1 Core 0/1 and the Cortex M4F.
Would you please clarify this confusion ?! What is its functionality, this Cortex M3 ?
Much thanks in advance for clarification.
Tai-Phan
Hi Tai-Phan,
Greetings. AM243x has CM3 core which runs the Boot-ROM before the SBL which brings in the SBL and then CM3 core executes SYSFW which is On-Chip HSM offering of TI. The SYSFW can also be used to enable Secure-Boot, Secure Debug Access, Hardware Crypto Enablement and many more.
Best Regards,
