AM2432: Whether Clk is compliant with spec?

Part Number: AM2432

Tool/software:

Hi

Now we are testing the Sensor Gateway board. The MCU CLK IN using MPN: ASEMB-25.000MHZ-LR 1.8V crystal. The CLK signal rise time is about 2.5ns.In datasheet I did not find the corresponding parameter. Can you help me confirm whether the CLK is compliant with SPEC?

Regards Zekun

  • I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you asking if a clock output from AM243x is able to achieve a 2.5ns rise/fall. If so, that depends on the load. You will need to use the IBIS model for the AM243x pin and simulate the rise/fall times based on your actual PCB load.

If this was not what you were asking, please provide more details so I can understand the question.

    Regards,
    Paul

  • I just want to confirm that the rise time is fit for AM243X CLK timing spec. Thanks for your support. Paul

  • I'm still not clear who is sourcing the clock and who is receiving the clock. Are you sourcing the AM243x 25MHz reference clock from another device?

If so, we are still in the process of defining the clock input performance parameters associated with an LVCMOS clock source. We were hoping to have these parameters defined soon, but a piece of lab equipment being used to validate device performance failed and had to be sent for repair. It will be several more weeks before the information will be available.

Rise and fall time will be one of several parameters that need to be considered.

    Paul
