Hello,
About single wires for SBW connection between MSP-GANG and target device
Regarding to single wires for SBW connection, my customer has some question.
They extend JTAG cable with single wires (about 10cm) as following.
They will use it for mass production at assembly factory.
MCU: MSP430FR5738
Target MCU board power : External supply
SBW I/F : Speed →Fast , SBW DATA → via TDOI
(Question)
Is there any problem about single wires connection?
Or they should connect it with twisted-pairs?
(MSP-GANG manual page 135 session 6.2)
・TDOI、Vcc → twisted-pair?
・TCK、GND → twisted-pair?
・Vcc、GND → twisted-pair?

Hello Tao_2199
Please refer your customer to the MSP Gand Programmer User Guide, section 6.2
I am using 8 MHz SBW on 60 cm flat (not twisted pair) cable with FRAM target devices (no cap on reset pin) without issues. I also tested it (SBW) on longer cables without issues. Not using MSP-GANG, but anyway I don't see how 30 cm can be a problem for SBW.
