MSP430F2013: About the single chip analog input of MSP430F2013 chip

Hi team,

I got a question about SD16_A in MSP430F2013 from customer.

QS1:
If I use a single input of analog-to-digital converter. If I use the on-chip reference voltage generation (1.2 V), the signal input in A4+, and A4- connect to GND, weather the maximum full-scale input range for a gain of 1 is ±0.6V ? If I connect a 0.4V to A4-, what is the maximum full-scale input range for a gain of 1?

QS2:
In the schematic, it use P2.6 as a analog output, how to realize P2.6 as analog output? What is it range?

QS3:
I notice it use P1.0 P1.4 P1.5 connect to a anode of a thermal pile with different resistor, why it do this?

Hi Zhonghui,

Q1:

The input range depends on the polar. Besides the differential input rang, also have the absolute input voltage you could see in datasheet is AVss+0.1 ~AVCC

Q2:

F2013 don't have DAC. It can't output analog signal.

Q3:

It is part of schematic? I don't know why. Could you provide more information?

This is a schematic for a gas flowmeter. The main part like enclosure.
For Q1:
According to the data sheet, when using single analog input, AIN - is connected to VSS, whether the voltage input range is -0.1V~3V? As it shown in the annex, if a voltage of 0.4V is connected to AIN -, is it a differential analog input. what is the input range?
For Q2:
As it shown in the annex, P2.6 connect to a amplifier use as a analog output, which function P2.6 use?
For Q3:
The complete circuit is shown in the attachment. The Pile1+ and Pile2+ is the positive input of thermopile. The Pile2+ connect to P1.0, P1.4 and P1.5. Which function they use?

Hi Zhonghui,

Is the sensor output current signal? Different resistor is to get the different current voltage for differential input I guess. You need to ask customer to know their design purpose.

Hi Gao,

The sensor output voltage signal. the customer need to subtract the voltage signal of pile1 + from the voltage signal of pile2 + to obtain the difference between the output signals of the two thermopiles.
