  •  Hi Carlo,  I remember some trouble with older silicon samples  on 2005 but not with new, also nothing is reported on errata about your trouble and I moved to new 2xx.

Which version of programmer are you using? Installing in parallel a new version of compiler and try load a small piece of software recognize the device? Also check about installation try reinstall IAR from scratch or check license status.

     Regards

  •  Hi Carlo, happy see you solved the problem, please also close this question.

Old version of IAR work and there is no need to remove, still can you use previous version till don't open and save workspace with a new version.

I am using an older 4.20 and new 5.30 together  on an XP vbox Linux hosted, when XP upgraded to SP3 some year ago burned out some programmer so i decided to use linux and leave old project on a clean XP SP2 free from update.

If your customer is using licensed version I understand the cost of upgrade but if code is no more than 4/8K then no reason exist to lock on 4.xx version, I also avoid use win 7 where SP3 problem are still active with new ones.

     Regards (Ciao )

     Roberto
