After I insert breakpoints and reset the code and then run the code again the software does not hit the breakpoints. As a workaround I found out that if I remove and insert the breakpoints back this time the code stops at the breakpoints. But it's rather annoying. Has anyone of u ever faced such a problem? I wonder whether it is related to MSP430F5418A or IAR Embedded Workbench 4.21. I'm also using msp430f1611 and msp430f2611 with the same workbench but I never came across with such a trouble before.
