MSP430 Launchpad Rev 1.4 Deno Software

Howdie,

I've only been playing with the MSP430 for a couple of weeks and seem to have gotten myself probably in a pickle.  What I mean is, I was able to observe the demo software (the blinking leds and the temperature change indication demo by the led.  Worked according to as described in your documentation.  I di try to actually display the "Current Temperature" using the provided .jave GUI interface but was only half successful ... what I mean by this is while "Current Temperature" was displayed in an MS-DPS window the font of the text was so large I could actually see the temperature readings.  I'm pretty sure a temperature reading was there as I think I could make outa shaved cahracter being displayed.  LOL!    BTW, all this was with the 14 pin chip in the socket.

Then I  swapped to the 20 pin chip and played around with capacitive touch booster item.  All good, but when I changed back to the 14 pin I wasn't ab;e to observe the original demos as described in the first paragraph.  As far as I know, I didn't "intentionally" do any modification to any code (in facct, at this stage I don't know how to).  But as we all know, "things happen" so I'll take the hit here.

So I would like to know where I can find the originally supplyed demo code so I can attempt to download/write to the 14 pin chip.  Any help here would be appreciated!

Also when perusing the various source code folders (asm, c, java) I noticed different file extensions that I'm just not familiar with at all and searchs of the internet didn't result in any definitive answers.  What the heck is a .pde file extension?  Do the two IDEs (CCS and IAR) use a lot of different file extensions?

Hope I make some sort of sense here.

Thanks in advance,

Bo
