Hi Community member,
Please provide your advice for the phenomenon which we met as below.
[Phenomenon]
My customer programmed the MSP430 via MSP430FET by using Uniflash version3.1.
But they could not program the MSP430 for a few boards(2/100 systems). And showed the following messages at this time.
***********
MSP430: Trouble Writing Memory Block at 0x8000 on Page 0 of Length 0x5034: Could not erase device memory
***********
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Best regards,
Kaka
Hi Kaka,
I think you might find better response to your question at the following E2E link:

The above link was listed in the 'Additional Information' section at the Uniflash download site.

You don’t write which device your customer wants to program.
He should check the supply voltage (dynamically, with a scope, not with a multimeter). It is possible that when trying to erase the device memory, supply voltage breaks down or is too low all the time, but sufficient for normal device operation. In this case, erasing the memory is unsuccessful. The flash controller will report an error and writing will fail with the above error.
Just one of several possible reasons.
