HOW TO GET THE PROJECT SOURCE FOR THE DRV8312GUI DEMO.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO LOAD ONE PARTICULAR EXAMPLE TO GUI AND RUN THE INSTASPIN FOC .EG ;4a
Hi Stephy,
Is this for DRV8312-69M-Kit?
Source code should be located in ControlSUITE. Then this directory: C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\DRV8312-C2-KIT_v128
This post may help if you have GUI Composer issues: https://e2e.ti.com/support/motor-drivers-group/motor-drivers/f/motor-drivers-forum/267256/gui-composer-generates-an-error-with-my-instaspin-drv8312-69m_kit
Thanks,
Aaron
YES,SIR
IS IT POSSIBLE TO LOAD THE EXAMPLE PROJECTS TO CCS . AFTER BUILD WE MAY GET BINARIES(.OUT FILE) AND TARGET (.CCMXL FILE ).
IF I COPY THE BOTH FILES AND PASTE IN ti\guicomposer\webapps SHALL I CAN RUN THE DEFAULT MOTOR WITH INSTASPIN FOC SOFTWARE
Hi Stephy,
Yes. Make sure you download ControlSUITE. Then in CCS, go to Projects --> Import CCS Projects --> and navigate to the source folder here: C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\DRV8312-C2-KIT_v128. CCS should be able to import all source projects from this folder.
Once you build the source code projects in CCS, you'll get the generated binary file (.out) and target config (.ccxml). Once you have the instaSPIN universal GUI, you should be able to import both files in the source destination of the InstaSPIN FOC software and then the offline application software should automatically flash the MCU with the generated .out file.
Thanks,
Aaron
OK SIR. I UNDERSTOOD
AFTER DOING ALL THOSE PROCEDURES, WHETHER MY MOTOR WILL START ROTATING WHICH IS CONNECTED TO THE DRV8312 EVM KIT
OR ELSE THE DEFAULT ONE ONLY MAKES THE MOTOR TO RUN .
Hi Stephy,
Unfortunately I do not know what the default configuration is of the DRV8312 EVM Kit and the control card's algorithm by default. I'm assuming the control card did not have the algorithm on it already and the default configuration of the GUI Composer binary file (.OUT) is what will make the motor run. If you follow the steps to get the .out file generated from the source code and run the universal GUI, then it should load the program into the control card and you can use the GUI to spin the motor.
Can you add screenshots to share your progress so far?
Thanks,
Aaron
Hello Stephy,
Do you need further assistance on this thread?
Thanks,
Matt
Hi Stephy,
Any purpose for using the DRV8312 specifically? I am unsure if the C2000 team knows anything about the controlCard resources for the DRV8312 EVM Kit.
If you share the specifications of your motor system, perhaps we could point you to better development resources that support motor control, such as InstaSPIN-Motion or InstaSPIN-FOC.
Thanks,
Aaron
Hi Aaron,
We are trying to work the DRV8312 EVM Kit with the help of MATLAB using C2000 support package. We have generated .out file .Now I want to create new GUI for new .out file.
Specifications of your motor system :Nema Size 17 BLDC Motor (11A peak current , 4000RPM)
This above-mentioned image is default setup. Similar, I want to create new file our .out file
Hi Stephy,
This GUI is really old. There may be instructions or expertise on how to link your application's .out file to the GUI in the source folder, however I do not know how to do it myself. This is an InstaSPIN-Motion project and was created by the C2000 team back in the day, so someone from that team may know how to help tie the GUI with your .out file. You should be able to copy the .out file into the GUI project folder to load it into the GUI.
I will send this over to C2000 for further support.
Thanks,
Aaron
As Aaron mentioned, the GUI is based on the older version GUI composer. You might have a look at the link below.
TMS320F28069M: Using GUI Composer v2 w/ InstaSPIN-FOC 28069M
If you want to use your own .out file for GUI, you need to use the universal GUI, please follow the guide in the folder below.
\ti\motorware\motorware_1_01_00_18\docs\guis\universal
And the Universal GUI can be downloaded from the following link
Hai Yanming,
As you mentioned, I tried to make my own GUI using instaspin FOC. This given picture of new GUI is shown below.
But the hardware identifying is entirely different from the setup.
As per my haedware setup, DRV8312 should identify. And some files is not calling . That's why red cross mark is showing .how to rectify that.
AS mentioned above, please refer to INSTASPINUNIVERSALGUI to make your own GUI that doesn't need to check the board.
The GUI you used above is not supported by the labs in motorWare, that need a dedicated lab.
