AM6548: Booting from eMMC

Hi,

We'd like to boot the system from eMMC. Our understanding is that the process involves writing to the eMMC first and then configuring the bootmode switches appropriately.

If our understanding is correct, how does one actually write to the eMMC?

Hi Prashant,

Is there any way to partition and load U-Boot or an OS onto the eMMC without already having U-Boot running on another storage device?

Hi Michael,

The U-Boot must be running to partition and flash the eMMC. You can use DFU or Ethernet to boot U-Boot and then flash eMMC also. We have the following FAQ for AM62 devices

I think these should work on AM65 devices as well.
