Hi Ssupport,
my customer found out they have “not-connected” USB0_VDDA12 pin/signal on TMS320C6748 DSP on program which recently passed layout and testing phase, per current datasheet this pin supposed to be connected to 0.22uF external filter capacitor (see below).
However, design around that part was done in 2013 where datasheet showed “No Connect” when USB0 and USB1 are not used, therefore 0.22uF filter capacitor was not designed in.
As you can imagine, changing current design by adding that external capacitors would be really complicated (if any).
Could you please let us know whether there may be any unexpected behavior or other impact if USB0_VDDA12 pin is not connected?
Thanks,
Alberto
We seem to have several threads going on this topic.
Another was recently updated to include a reference to a 2014 thread that seemed to give the answers you want:
[OMAP-L138] Bypass capacitor at USB0_VDDA12 pin when both USB ports are not used
Please see if this satisfies your requirement.
