board not communicate with UART.what I do ?In windows which file we want generate, linux which file we want to generate suppose kit will be bootable what data we will get from the hardware.

Hello Kalaiventhan,

Can you try to boot the TDA2Ex board using pre built SBL image(MLO) and check if you are getting UART prints.

Hi Kalaiventhan,

Can you please explain a bit more on what you have tried. It is not clear to me that what issues are you facing and if you are trying to boot using u-boot or SBL.

u boot only we were checked .I am also trying another method ccs .I display this error what I do?

Are you getting any prints at all on the UART console? What is the software component and version you are using.
In casing you are using Vision SDK can you please check if you followed all the steps given in Linux User Guide.

I am using vision sdk board .I am load using CCS method .I got this error message

Hi Kalaiventhan,

What is the board that you are using?
Do you have socketed EVM or soldered EVM?
It is possible that silicon is not placed correctly in the socket. Can you try tightening and see if it works for you.

I have some error in DSP connect target processor.

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -1180 @ 0x0)
Device is held in reset. Take the device out of reset, and retry the operation.
(Emulation package 6.0.504.1)

how to rectify this error

Kalaiventhan,

Please run the GEL script from CCS. Scripts-> TDA Multicore Initialization -> TDA_MULTICORE_EnableAllCores. This will lift the DSP reset as well.

Have you installed the Auto Device Support package explained in the "3.5 Load using CCS" section of the user guide? Note your paths will be /ccsv7 since you are using v7.0.

After the installation, you should see the Script menus w/ available functions prior to target connect in debug mode.

Hi Kalaiventhan,

As Alex said you need to install the CSP (Chip Support Package) for TDA2xx and then you will get the options in Scripts-> TDA2xx Multicore Initialization -> TDA2xx_MULTICORE_EnableAllCores. After doing this step you will be able to connect to DSP.

Hi Kalaiventhan,

EVE MMU will be done by the Gel Scipt when you run TDA2xx_MULTICORE_EnableAllCores option. You can do it for a particular EVE by calling Scripts-> TDA2xx Multicore Initialization -> EVExSSClkEnable_API as well.

You can download the Vision SDK installer from CDDS link: cdds.ext.ti.com/.../emxNavigator.jsp .

The binaries will be there in the folder vision_sdk\binaries\tda2ex_evm_bios_all\vision_sdk\bin\tda2ex-evm.

Hi Kalaiventhan,

You need to build the vision SDK to get individual elf files.
Go to folder C:\VISION_SDK_02_12_00_00\vision_sdk.
Set MAKECONFIG in Rules.make to tda2ex_evm_bios_all.
Run the make command. You can refer to VisionSDK_UserGuide_TDA2Ex.pdf for details.
You will get the binary files in the location i mentioned in my previous reply.

You will find the VisionSDK_UserGuide_TDA2Ex.pdf in C:\VISION_SDK_02_12_00_00\vision_sdk\docs\UserGuides folder. You are trying to build for TDA2xx or TDA2Ex? At some places you are talking about TDA2xx and the thread title says TDA2E
You have Rules.make file here: C:\VISION_SDK_02_12_00_00\vision_sdk\Rules (Your windows are configured to hide file extensions for known types. You should preferably enable that.)
Modify MAKECONFIG if you want to build for TDA2Ex.
