AM5728: DDR single die

In AM5728 eval-board, x4 DDRs are shared among EMIF1 and EMIF2 (x2 each.)

Instead of 4DDR chips, is it possible to use just 1 DDR chip at EMIF1 alone in our new design?

We are considering this option due to space constraint.

But we want to confirm whether it will be compatible from processor end?

Using one DDR per EMIF is possible only in 16-bit configuration. See section 8.2.2.4.2 in the AM572x Datasheet SR2.0 Rev. F.

Sir, we are using only 1 DDR IC and only EMIF1.

Is this configuration supported by AM5728. Please do let us know.
