PGA450-Q1: Programming Details

Hi Rohith,

Is this for a new design?  If so, I'd recommend the PGA460 instead since it has a smaller package, improved performance, and ease of programmability and production.

Thanks for your suggestion. But we have used the PGA450 IC for our proto and need support on this part. Maybe we can switch to PGA460 during mass production stage. Hence can you help provide information regarding the query raised?

Currently we have procured the PGA450Q1EVM-S, but unable to establish UART communication. We gave an UART command 0 ( In document: PGA450Q1EVM-S User's Guide and TIDA-00151 UART Demo Instructional), but did not receive any response from the PGA450.

Currently we used an external Level translator FET circuit for RX (for EVM) and voltage divider (3.3k and 2.2k) for TX (in EVM). 

The circuit for TX (from MCU) to EVM RX is shown above.

We are able to get the correct level translated UART signals as seen in scope. However On sending  0x00, 0x55, 0x01, 0x00 through an serial terminal, we are not getting any response from EVM. 

Please let us know if we are missing something.

Thanks, after we used an proper USB to UART 5V module we were able to communicate and obtain an response.

Please update the product page for PGA450 to NRND. It may help your other customers to select PGA460 initially.

Can you let us know if USB2ANY can be used with the PGA450 EVM GUI available?
