DCA1000EVM: Stuck at SPI Connect

Okay, so this question has been frequently asked on this forum but none of the posts contained anything that worked for me.

I have an ES1.0 AWR1642BOOST that I am using with a DCA1000 board (latest version). I am following the online video as well as the quick start guide. I have both mmWave studio version 1.0 and version 2.0 and I have followed all the steps on both the versions of mmWave studio (mmWave studio 1.0 has the files for ES1.0 board). However, as soon as I press SPI Connect, nothing happens and the program is stuck there. I cannot use any other button or commands. Please help.

I am attaching the images for mmWave studio 2.0 as well in case you want me to try it out. This also gets stuck at SPI Connect.

What are your SOP settings on the EVM?

Make sure the SEMTEC is securely connected.

Using Uniflash please erase sflash on the EVM and try again (LINK).

Akash,

Look at the image below, bottom right for the label "SOP controls"

Please look at 1642 Users Guide located HERE on section 2.7, page 18.

Also look at the mmWave video 2.4 DCA1000 Training Video; it goes over SOP settings around 1:40 of the video

Your physical set up looks good.
Can you try using Uniflash please and erase sflash on the EVM and try again (LINK).

Hi,

I erased my sflash but the problem still persists. Here's my output: I am noticing that I have an error - "Status: Failed, Error Type: RRFDCCARD_SUCCESS". Is this because my ethernet is Intel I219-LM?

Akash,

1) change your DCA1000 switches to reflect the image below

2) change the USB cable that goes from the PC to the DCA1000

3) try a different computer

Akash,

Looks like you selected 12bit mode, change it to 16bit like the image below.

and please try the rest of the step stated on the previous post

2) change the USB cable that goes from the PC to the DCA1000

3) try a different computer

Same it gets stuck at SPI connect. Is there some problem with the board itself? I have shown you my switch configuration as well as the setup and tried it on 3 different computers but to no avail.

Hello!
I meet the same question as your.
I also stuck at SPI Connection when I flash official demo.
My version as fellow:
(1)IWR1443BOOST ES3.0
(2)DCA1000EVM

There is my solution:
The first, I refer to the 'mmwave_stdio_user_guide.pdf', the section6.1.4 give my solution that 'If SPI connect does not succeed you may need to erase the serial flash and try again using the Uniflash tool'.
The second, I open the Uniflash and 'Format SFLASH' the IWR1443BOOSTEVM.
The end, I try again in mmwave studio and I make it.
