Hello,

I am currently working on my bachelor thesis with an AWR1843. I have some questions for the community that I could not answer myself. I hope someone can help me.

  • In the Range Profile with Zero Doppler, there is a detected point directly in front of the sensor at 0.08 meters but there is no object in this distance to the Sensor.
  • How is the "detected object" assigned? Is it dependent on the peak?
  • When I conifgure the antenna confiugarion in mmWave DemoVisualizer as 4RX/2TX I can see the scatter plot in 2D. I cannot see the change in the scatter plot in the Range Profile. Is there an explanation for this?
  • What is the accuracy of the sensor? For example, Bosch states a measuring accuracy of 0.12m for its MRR front radar sensor. I could not find anything in the data sheet for the AWR1843.
  • I measured the object with the current configuration. At a distance smaller than 2m, the measurement is accurate to +/- 0.08m. If the distance between the sensor and the object is greater than 2 meters, the accuracy becomes less accurate (+/- 0.2m). Is this the normal measuring inaccuracy or is the configuration wrong?
