Broken Download Link for "Common mode rejection and power supply rejection" Module of the "Precision labs series: Op amps Video Series"

Hello,

I have been working through the TI Precision labs series: Op amps Video Series. (https://www.ti.com/video/series/precision-labs/ti-precision-labs-op-amps.html#tab-1)

Made it it to the "Common mode rejection and power supply rejection (2)" module and when I tried to download the presentation slides for both units, the link brought me to an error page. Had no issues downloading the presentation slides for all previous units so far.

Would like access to those slides as they contain the quiz questions to test/review the takeaways of the unit.

Thank you so much for all of those involved with making this video series! It has been a great help with tackling my TIA circuit design.

  • Camille,

Thanks for letting us know about the missing slides.  I will work towards updating the TIPL landing page, but that can take some time.  In the meantime, here are the files you are looking for.

    1231-CMRR ac and dc.pdf

Let me know if you need anything else.

  • Thank you Art,

I appreciate you sharing those documents and the time you put into the preparing these presentations! I will proceed with doing the quizzes.

Could I confirm with you if the link for the "Download the Analog Engineer's Pocket Reference e-book." found on each of the units "Resources"  section is supposed to bring me to the op-amp product catalogue and not a document for me to refer to op-amp specifications and definitions? (https://www.ti.com/amplifier-circuit/op-amps/precision/overview.html)

    Best,

    Cam

  • Sorry to bother you again, Kay

The slide deck you shared above contains the content that were used for the corresponding video/lecture, but they do not have the quizzes like the previous modules slide decks. Please add the quiz questions as well when you update the TIPL landing page. (No rush I will move on to the next modules.)

    Thanks,

    Cam

  • Camille,

The pocket reference is the engineering definition document and not a product catalog.  We don't really have a product catalog anymore.  The closest to a "catalog" would be to use the parametric search to find a device that matches your requirements.  Here is parametric search for precision amplifiers:  https://www.ti.com/amplifier-circuit/op-amps/precision/overview.html .  You can use this search to choose devices based on specifications such as supply voltage, input offset voltage, package type, cost, and others.

Regarding the quizzes.  I will see if I can find these documents.

  • Another quick follow-up, Art

I made it to the "Low distortion design (4)" module. Each of the units for this module has a functional download link for the presentation slide deck/transcript. However the quiz portion of the slide deck is missing for each unit.

If you are able to update the slide decks to include the quizzes that would be greatly appreciated!

    Best,

    Cam

  • Camille,

I have not found the original questions for distortion, CMRR, or PSRR.  It has been a number of years since we created this content.  I think that it is likely that we just didn't create quizzes for these sections.   I am working on creating them now.  Here is the first one.  I'll post the others later (on E2E).  We will eventually get this up on TI.com.  The plan on new videos is to include the quiz in the video.  Thanks for your feedback.  It's nice to see that people are making use of the content.

  • Thank you for your proactiveness on the subjects, Art

I noticed today that the download link for the deck slide of the CMRR video is working, but not for the PSRR video.

This content has been propelling my knowledge in analog circuit design and is saving me so much time and headaches with troubleshooting a highly sensitive TIA design. I even got an engineering technician on my campus hooked on the content to improve their professional development.

I appreciate the time you are putting in to make a quiz for the content that are missing them. No rush, please take your time Slight smile

  • Camille,

Thanks for the nice feedback.  I'm going to close this ticket for now, but I will continue to update the series.  I will reactivate the thread when new content becomes available.  Incidentally, since you mentioned you are looking at TIA amplifiers, I will include a copy of a presentation on the subject.  This is one that should really be converted into video (TIPL) format, but for now is not officially published.  I hope it is helpful to you.

  • This is a great resource! Thank you, Art.

I can follow along the TIA document thanks to the precision lab modules I am going through. This will help me breakdown my design steps for my TIA! I like the emphasis in calculating and modeling the noise of the TIA circuit and post amp.

Thank you for your continued support!

Since you are closing the ticket, would you prefer that I submit additional reports/feedback on the  op amp video series here? Or submit it elsewhere?

Let me know what works best :)

    Cam

  • Camille,

Yes, please do submit separate tickets for new items.
