"Tools->Trace Control" cannot open on Win7 64, CCS 5.3

Dear CCS team,

I am using Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and 5.3.0.00090, and my emulator is Spectrum Digital XDS560V2 STM.
When I followed

http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Debug_and_Trace_Capabilities_on_OMAPL1X/AM1x/DA8x_devices

instructions to open "Tools">>"Trace Control" window and tried to select ETB as the receiver, CCS always hangs for several dozes of seconds, and after it resumes I cannot see the "Trace System Control" window appears.
The Win 7 system has UAC (user account control) on, but I also set CCS to run under Administration permission.
In addition, both Windows Firewall and another Firewall (Comodo for my case) reported Internet connection attempts by some program after clicking "Tools>>Trace Control", and I allowed all in the firewall settings. These prompts allowed only one time and didn't appear later.

A screenshot of the situation is attached.

Could someone tell me how could I enable the "Tools>>Trace Control" window?

Trace Control menu not showing (between a user and ) seems to be about the same issue in a 64 bit Linux setting. But in my 64-bit Win 7  I have already set the Administrator permission. What else should be done?

Paul

  • Update:

    This is solved. The other firewall (Comodo)'s some existing setting has blocked it. After allowed all related programs, or simply disable the firewall I was able to see the "Trace Control" window.
