I was going through the data sheet of PGA280. On page 15, Fig. 37, Fig. 38 and Fig. 39, the curves show that the output swings to 8 V. However, as per the test conditions on the top of that page, the VSON = 0 V and VSOP = 5 V. Does this mean that the output swings more than the power rails (in this case, more than VSOP) ?. In such a scenario, how can one use this for a 0-5V ADC ?. Do one need to clamp the output at 5 V with diodes ?.
