The data sheet of the OPA541AP tells that the tap is connected to the -Vs pins. If I chek that I found that it is not connected and that the tab is isolated? What is true, can you confirme if that tap is isolated or not and if it can be grounded. Is it a new modification of this power amplifier.
Many thanks in advance for your quick answer.

Hello François,
The TO-220 package tab is physically and electrically connected to the back of the OPA541 die. the die utilizes reverse biased PN junctions to establish isolation between the different electrical components on the die. This reverse bias is accomplished by electrically connecting the tab to -Vs, the most negative supply. The tab -Vs connection isn't intended to carry any significant current, only that associated with reverse biasing the PN junctions. Thus, it isn't necessary to have a low resistance connection between the tab and -Vs.
